Guinness - how many pints
Racegoers can be sure of one certain winner at this year's Cheltenham National Hunt Festival : GUINNESS. The famous black brew has long been a firm favourite at racing's biggest and best party of the year. You think of Wimbledon and you think of strawberries and cream. You think of Cheltenham and it just has to be Guinness!
Last year just over 170,000 pints of the black stuff were enjoyed on the racecourse over the four days. But what will the figure be this year? We've teamed up with our friends at Guinness to offer you the chance to win 100 cans of cool, creamy Guinness Draught to enjoy with your friends. And we'll also send the winner a superb Guinness fleece and t-shirt . All you have to do is forecast what the total Guinness sales will be at this year's Festival. For your chance to win simply enter your guess and details below.
To help you with your prediction, Guinness tell us that over the last seven years their racecourse sales across the Festival have varied quite considerably between just over 60,000 pints and 170,000. But remember that prior to 2005 the Festival was only three days. The factors that appear to boost Guinness sales are good weather, some Irish successes on the track and when St. Patrick's Day falls during Festival week (which it does this year). So get your thinking cap on or your crystal ball out of the cupboard and let us have your forecast. Cheers!
Entrants must be aged 18 and over.
If you are going to the Festival, enjoy Guinness Draught on sale in the Guinness Village and at all public bars. But please drink sensibly. And do not drink and drive.
